The Chantecler is a large fowl breed that is used both for eggs and meat. Roosters weigh about 9 lbs hens are 6.5–7.5 lb. This breed possess yellow skin, legs and beak. This breed lays large brown eggs. Its plumage lies tight against the body but has a good deal of fluff, and an exceptionally small cushion comb and wattles making the Chantecler winter hardy. The White Chantecler is the only Heritage breed created in Canada. We currently only carry White Chantecler.
