Chantecler
The Chantecler is a large fowl breed that is used both for eggs and meat. Roosters weigh about 9 lbs hens are 6.5–7.5 lb. This breed possess yellow skin, legs and beak. This breed lays large brown eggs. Its plumage lies tight against the body but has a good deal of fluff, and an exceptionally small cushion comb and wattles making the Chantecler winter hardy. The White Chantecler is the only Heritage breed created in Canada.
